U.S. Consular Processing
Excellence in Immigration Law

Lawyers from the United States immigration law firm of Reeves & Associates, with offices in Pasadena and San Francisco, California, , China and Makati City, Philippines, have helped clients, including those from Asia, Europe, Africa and Latin countries with consular processing of their visas since 1980.

U.S. Visa Application ▪ Embassy or Consular Interview

Our consular processing team will prepare a detailed visa application on your behalf, demonstrating that all eligibility criteria have been satisfied. We then prepare you for the interview at the U.S. Embassy or consulate. If you would like to speak with an attorney from our consular processing team about an immigrant visa petition or application to visit or immigrate to the United States, contact our office to arrange a telephone or tele-video consultation.

Permanent Resident Status ▪ Green Card

Immigrant visas processed at U.S. Embassies or consulates require that the applicant satisfy all of the requirements for an employment visafamily based visa, or other immigration classification. In most instances, visa applicants must have an approval by the USCIS and also demonstrate that they are eligible for the visa classification before the Embassy or consulate.

Consular Processing ▪ Visitors Visa

A nonimmigrant visa can be processed at a State Department Embassy or consulate outside of the U.S. If you plan to visit the United States, our attorneys will advise you on the requirements to prove admissibility.

Grounds for Inadmissibility

Reasons for State Department or consular officials’ denial of visas may include the applicant’s criminal history, health issues or prior violations of U.S. immigration law (e.g., overstaying or prior deportation orders). Our immigration lawyers may even have to litigate in federal courts or represent clients in appeals to force the State Department to issue a visa. Waivers may be available for some visa applicants.

Chinese ▪ Spanish ▪ Filipino Dialects

Attorneys and paralegals from our firm are fluent in several languages.
