Labor Certifications
U.S. Labor Certification Attorneys
The U.S.
immigration law firm of Reeves & Associates has been
obtaining benefits for immigrants hoping to achieve permanent
residency status for over twenty-five years. We are committed
to achieving a positive result for each and every one of our
clients.
The application process for a labor certification,
which allows an employer to hire a foreign worker to work
permanently in the United States, is complex and involves
both the U.S. Dept. of Labor (DOL) and the U.S. Citizenship
and Immigration Service (USCIS). Our immigration
lawyers will help with your application for labor
certification and permanent residency status (green card).
We invite you to contact
our firm for a consultation.
Labor Certification Requirements
An employer sponsoring an employee for labor certification
must demonstrate that there is a bona fide job opening available
at the prevailing wage for that job and that the employer
has made an effort to recruit a U.S. worker for the job.
The employer also has to demonstrate that the
sponsoring company has the ability to pay the employee’s
wage. Our immigration
attorneys will help the employee satisfy the tests
required to show ability to pay. When an employer has received
a certification from the DOL, an immigrant visa petition is
submitted to the USCIS on behalf of the worker.
Our staff guides employers through every step
of the intricate PERM labor certification process.
Legal permanent residency (a “green card”)
allows the holder to begin the process leading to naturalization
and citizenship. For those who wish to pursue U.S. citizenship,
our firm will help them with their long-term plans.
