Naturalization and Citizenship

United States Immigration Law Firm ▪ Pasadena, California
U.S. Naturalization and Citizenship

Attorneys at Reeves & Associates, through offices in Pasadena and San Francisco, California, USA, and branch offices in , China and Makati, Philippines, help persons seeking United States citizenship. Obtaining relief and benefits for immigrants to the U.S. has been the keystone of our practice for more than twenty-five years.

In addition to representation with initial immigrant visa applications and consular processing, or adjustment of status to permanent residence with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), our immigration and naturalization law firm represents clients for naturalization and prepares them for the critically important USCIS interview. If you are considering U.S. naturalization, you are encouraged to contact our office and arrange a consultation with a naturalization and citizenship attorney .

Requirements for U.S. Citizenship through Naturalization

Our office represents applicants for naturalization by proving that they:

  • Have held permanent resident status (green card) for the required period of time
  • Have met the physical presence and continuous residence requirements.
  • Are of good moral character. This involves an examination of state and federal records.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of English (reading, writing and speaking) and U.S. History and Government. Some permanent residents may qualify for a waiver from the English language requirement.
  • Demonstrate willingness to support and defend the U.S.A. and its Constitution by taking the Oath of Allegiance.

Citizenship by Acquisition or Derivation

Children born abroad to U.S. citizens can sometimes claim U.S. citizenship. Lawyers at Reeves & Associates represent eligible clients in establishing U.S. citizenship and obtain U.S. passports through research and documentation of government and family records.
