Citizenship
/ Naturalization
There are several routes to naturalization and U.S. citizenship.
In most cases, it is necessary to obtain permanent residency
to be eligible for naturalization. Alternatively, a child
born outside the United States may hold citizenship if one
parent is a U.S. citizen.
Employment
Visas
Employment visas, temporary and permanent, are granted based
on factors that include the credentials and occupation of
the applicant and sponsorship by an employer.
Labor
Certifications
Labor certification under the Department of Labor’s
Program Electronic Review Management (PERM) system allows
U.S. employers to sponsor foreign workers to work permanently
in the United States if it can be demonstrated that
there are insufficient qualified U.S. workers in that area.
Labor certification is the first step for most foreign workers
to obtain permanent residency.
Nurses
and Physical Therapists
Special opportunities for visas are available to physical
therapists and registered nurses. Our office will advise these
medical professionals in complying with this complex process,
including obtaining the visa screen certificate.
Investor
Visas
Investor visas are excellent options for foreign entrepreneurs.
The foreign investor needs to meet certain requirements including
the nature of the investment, the source of the funds and

Immigration
Family immigration visas allow parents, children, spouses
and fiancés to enter the United States and live in the
U.S. as permanent residents. Our attorneys counsel and prepare
