Committed to Excellence
Reeves & Associates has been serving the needs
of those seeking employment visas, residency and citizenship
in the United States for over 25 years. Our family-based immigration
lawyers and staff take great pleasure in helping
to reunite long-separated parents, children, spouses and fiancés
through visa petitions.
Our immigration
law firm serves clients throughout the U.S. and internationally
from offices in Pasadena and San Francisco, California, and
branch offices in , China, and Makati, Philippines.
If you have questions about family sponsorship for U.S. immigration,
we encourage you to contact
the firm and arrange for a telephone or tele-video
conference consultation with one of our attorneys.
Family Sponsorship for Immigration
Our family immigration team has an excellent reputation
for successfully representing U.S. citizens and permanent
residents in petitioning their parents, children, spouses,
fiancés and siblings. We have reunited thousands of families
worldwide. Benefits for family immigrants include work authorization,
travel documents and adjustment of status to permanent resident.
Nonimmigrant V-1, V-2, V-3 Visas
The nonimmigrant category allows spouses (V-1
visa) or children (V-2 visa) of a U.S. permanent resident,
or the child of the V-1 visa holder (V-3 visa) to live and
work in the United States until they are able to apply for
permanent residence status. Reeves & Associates filed
a lawsuit and with the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals ruling
in 2002, Reeves & Associates forced the USCIS to change
its policy. USCIS is now required to grant extensions to V-2
and V-3 visa holders who have reached their 21st birthday
and allow them to stay in the U.S. until they become permanent
residents.
Adoptions ◦ Establishment of U.S. Citizenship
by Birth
We assist U.S. citizens in immigrating adopted
children or orphans born abroad.
VAWA ◦ Victims of Domestic Violence
The Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) allows victims
of domestic violence, both adults and children, to self-petition
for permanent residency rather than relying on the abuser
for sponsorship.
Successful Applications
The success of an application depends on the quality
of preparation of the application and the critical interview
with USCIS or U.S. Embassy or consulate abroad. Our team meticulously
examines all the required information before preparing the
application or petition, and prepares each client for the
critical USCIS and State Department interviews.
In cases where the federal agencies unreasonably
delay the adjudication of a petition or application, our federal
litigation team will file a complaint in U.S. District Court
for an order compelling the USCIS to take appropriate action
to adjudicate the petition or application.
Successful stories of parents, children and spouses
reunited through the efforts of our immigration teams show
the benefit of representation by committed, experienced and
skilled lawyers and staff. If you are interested in helping
a family member immigrate, pursue international adoption or
establish U.S. citizenship for your child, contact
Reeves & Associates for a consultation.
