Federal litigation in the U.S. courts

Immigration Litigation in United States Federal Courts
Pasadena and San Francisco, California

Reeves & Associates, U.S. immigration attorneys, has been representing clients in the federal courts since 1980. Reeves & Associates attorneys pursue their client’s cases with outstanding skills and with a commitment to excellence in immigration law.

If you require immediate assistance with an appeal and a stay of deportation because the denial of your application for a particular visa status by the State Department or United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) was unfair or that processing is being unnecessarily delayed,  contact our firm for a consultation with a member of our immigration litigation department.

Writs of Mandamus ▪ Habeas Corpus ▪ Petitions for Declaratory Relief

Attorneys at Reeves & Associates, working out of our offices in Pasadena and San Francisco, California, regularly file writs and appeals in order to win release for immigrants who have been detained or seek approval of desired immigration status for applicants in the U.S. District Courts nationwide. If your case has been delayed for one year or more, you should seriously consider filing a Writ of Mandamus complaint  with the Federal Court.   Federal Courts require the USCIS to explain why it has delayed approval of a case within sixty days of the complaint being filed, and often these cases are resolved within a thirty to sixty-day period.

Whether it is a Writ of Mandamus or other federal relief, when you meet with our immigration lawyers, we will discuss your situation and appropriate legal measures to gain relief on your behalf. Federal agencies are more likely to comply with the law in your case if they know that attorneys with a history of successful federal litigation represent you.  In some cases, we have forced the USCIS to re-write regulations and change their national policies as a direct result of our litigation.

Deportation defense

Pasadena, California, Deportation Defense Attorneys

Since 1980 Reeves & Associates, a U.S. immigration law firm committed to excellence in immigration law, has an outstanding record of defending clients threatened with deportation or detention. If you are faced with deportation and removal proceedings, we invite you to contact our office and arrange a consultation.

Experience ▪ Excellence

Our team has more than 25 years of experience in cancellation of removal, waivers of inadmissibility and deportability, political asylum and withholding of removal. We also assist in post-conviction remedies and file writs of Habeas Corpus in the U.S. District Court to stop a deportation. Our representation includes  appeals of decisions with the Board of Immigration Appeals, Circuit Courts of Appeals and the Supreme Court of the United States.

In addition to meeting with clients at our offices in Pasadena and San Francisco, California, in person or via telephone and tele-video conferencing, our deportation defense attorneys travel to locations throughout the United States to represent our clients.

A Dedicated Defense for Each Client

The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) may initiate deportation proceedings for a number of reasons. A visa holder’s criminal conviction, an unfavorable decision in an asylum application or a denial of a visa petition may cause ICE to issue a notice to appear in immigration court. Our lawyers are dedicated, experienced and have a record of success stories.

We represent clients from Pasadena, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Sacramento, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Jose, West Covina and Long Beach, California, and throughout the United States in deportation and detention defense. Our attorneys meet with clients in person or via telephone or tele-video conferencing.
